FAQ

General

How long will a NEBO flashlight last without being charged?

All of our products are designed to last at least 3 years when stored fully charged without being used.

My light turns on but then switches off?

Many of our lights have "Demo" mode set when packaged, this setting also saves the accidental turning on of our lights when in transit.

How to go directly to red mode?

If you wish to preserve your night vision and your light has a red light option.
While the light is turned off, press and hold the power button to get directly to red light mode.

What is your brightest flashlight?

The brightest flashlight we currently make is offered within the NEBO brand and is called the Davinci 18000. This flashlight offers a 18,000 lumen Turbo mode and 10,000 lumen High mode.

What does NEBO mean? Is it an acronym?

No, it is not an ancronym. Nebo is mentioned in the Bible as the burial site of Moses. There is an excellent view of "The Promised Land" at the top of Mount Nebo. Nebo is also the name of another mountain in Utah near where the NEBO brand originated.

Are your flashlight lumen ratings accurate?

Yes. All of our brands' flashlights have lumen ratings that are tested and verified to ANSI standards. ANSI is the American National Standards Institute and the organization responsible for defining what criteria a light must achieve in order to receive a valid lumen rating.

Can I use rechargeable batteries in your products?

For our flashlights that use alkaline batteries (non-rechargeable), NiMH (nickel-metal hydride) or NiCd (nickel-cadmium) rechargeable batteries will work fine, but with slightly reduced performance. These batteries output a slightly lower voltage than an alkaline which results in the slightly reduced brightness and runtime.

Rechargeable Li-Ion (lithium ion) cells should NEVER be used in our non-rechargeable products. These batteries feature a much higher operating voltage that could damage our products. The only exception to this is any products that use lithium primary (non-rechargeable) batteries.

Do you sell spare batteries?

Unfortunately, we do stock spare batteries for sale at present. Rules imposed on us by our couriers when shipping exposed lithium batteries outside of the body of a torch, are making it difficult for us to provide the sale of spare batteries. We are working on a solution and we hope to have replacement battery options available for our torches in the future.

Do you sell spare parts?

We are afraid that we do not stock replacement parts/cables for our torches. Our products arrive from our factory as a sealed unit, which makes internal repairs very difficult. As a result, we do not carry a range of spares.
